About Berta.

Hey there! Iā€™m Berta. Growing up, I loved spending my days playing outside and getting dirty by exploring the great outdoors. From a very young age, I knew I wanted to be a zookeeper when I grew up. I was always fascinated by animals and the rich, diverse world around me.

The older I got, the more I fell in love with science and all the amazing animals I got to meet. I worked my way through college taking jobs I was passionate about. I became a wildlife rehabilitation technician, a raptor team member at a local nature center, and a field trip guide through natural reserves. I also love teaching kids about the wildlife around their homes. I believe college-level science concepts can be taught and learned at a young age through creative and fun activities.

We live in a beautiful world teeming with great wildlife to explore and I want to share that same wonder and excitement with future generations through exploration, learning, and conservation.

Explore. Learn. Conserve.
